The soap maker
By day I teach second grade. The rest of the time I'm a soap and skincare maker, a mom and grandma, and a long-distance runner here in Olympia, Washington.
Every batch is mixed, poured and cured by hand, so no two bars look quite the same. My favorite part is teaching workshops — watching people who swore they weren't crafty walk out grinning with two pounds of soap they made themselves.
